How to unhide profile picture on Facebook timeline
Question from Dennis J.:  How do I unhide a post that I accidentally hid from my Facebook timeline? It’s an old family picture that my cousin posted on my page.

I meant to share it on my sister’s page but I accidentally hid it instead. Now I can’t figure out how to unhide it.

Can you tell me how to get that hidden post back on my Timeline?

Rick’s answer:  Hi Dennis. As you discovered, Facebook makes it very easy to hide a post from your Timeline, but unhiding it isn’t quite as easy.

Well, actually it is fairly easy – you just have to know where to look for that option.

To unhide a post that you’ve hidden from your Timeline, follow the steps below for the device you’re using to access Facebook.

If you’re accessing Facebook via a web browser on a computer:

1 – Log into your Facebook account and click on your name to visit your Timeline page.

2 – Click the Activity Log button located in the bottom-right corner of your cover photo.

3 – Click the Hidden From Timeline link over in the left-hand column.

4 – Find the post you want to unhide and click the icon over on the far right side of that line. (It looks like a tiny circle with a slanted line through it).

5 – Click Allowed on Timeline. That’s all there is to it. Your previously hidden post should no longer be hidden.

If you’re using the Facebook app on a mobile device:

1 – Log into your Facebook account and tap on your profile photo to visit your Timeline page.

2 – Tap Activity Log.

3 – Tap Category.

4 – Scroll down and tap Hidden From Timeline.

5 – Tap the down arrow beside the post you want to unhide, then tap Show on Timeline. That’s all there is to it. Your previously hidden post should no longer be hidden.

By the way, with very few exceptions most anything you do on Facebook can be reversed. The trick is knowing where to look for the setting.

I hope this helps Dennis. Good luck!
