Why are my Beats pro Not pairing?

I am having issues with my powerbeats pro where it charges perfectly fine but does not connect to my phone. This problem first started when I clicked on “forget device” in the Bluetooth settings. After when I tried pairing it again it would not pop up on my Bluetooth list. In Addition to that now every time I try to reset the headphones via pressing the button for 15 seconds, but it does not flash white or red, it only flashes white only. I would like to know how I can resolve this issue because it’s very irritating. Thank you.

How to Fix Powerbeats Pro Connection Problems: 7 Ways

1. Clean Both Earbuds and Case.

First things first, you will want to find out if your Powerbeats Pro is not working properly due to unsuccessful charging. You may find that one earbud may have been charged but not the other one. Additionally, you will also want to make sure that there is no dirt on the case or the earbuds. Even adding a custom cover for the Powerbeats Pro case can hinder the proper contact for the charging process.

Go through the following tips and take your time to do it while testing to see if it helps:

  • Clean the earbuds and the case with a microfiber cloth. Make sure that everything is dry before placing the earbuds back to the case.
  • Make sure to place the earbuds properly in the case so it both have proper contact with the charging connection.
  • If it fails to charge, try to press and hold the reset button while the earbuds are in the case. Refer to Method 5 below on how to reset your Powerbeats Pro.

2. Use the Beats-Supported App.

If you can charge your Powerbeats Pro successfully, then you may want to shift your attention to the battery status of your device. This is to identify if there are any issues with the battery itself.  Depending on which device you’re using, the following steps will help guide you in doing it:

For iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

  1. First and foremost, turn on your Powerbeats Pro and pair it with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Then, make sure that your earbuds are securely seated inside the charging case and keep the case open.
  3. Now place your unlocked iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch within 2 inches range of your Powerbeats Pro.
  4. Finally, look for the card that shows the battery level of your earbuds.

If you happen to find that the battery drains too fast or experiencing and abnormalities, then you will want to proceed to the last method in this guide (Method 7). The method will discuss on how you can arrange an inspection of the device and possibly have it exchanged for a newer pair (depending on whether you’re still on the warranty).

3. Avoid Bluetooth Connection Conflicts.

One of the other most popular issues with the Powerbeats Pro has been the constant intermittent connection which users have been experiencing.

When in such a case, you will want to ensure that signal interference is not what’s causing the conflict for your Bluetooth connection. It is known that Wi-Fi uses the same frequency as your Bluetooth, hence make sure you avoid devices that have their Wi-Fi connection turned on. Also, avoid similar devices like microwave ovens and wireless telephones when using your device.

Additionally, it helps if you have your Powerbeats Pro connect to only one device at a time. The Bluetooth interference from your car audio system, another smartphone or laptop, can cause your Powerbeats Pro to be confusing and can result in irregularities in the connection. Also, make sure that you are within the effective range of Bluetooth and avoid physical obstruction between the Bluetooth connection.

4. Disconnect Your Powerbeats Pro and Pair it Again.

Staying on the Bluetooth topic, it is a possibility that the system file on your Powerbeats Pro that handles your Bluetooth connection may have gotten corrupted. This can happen, especially if the device you had connected your Powerbeats Pro encountered an improper shutdown procedure or internal system bug. The fix is pretty simple, as you only need to rebuild the connection profile by deleting it and doing the pairing process again.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Go ahead and turn on the Bluetooth of your device you want to pair with the Powerbeats Pro.
  2. Then, put the Powerbeats Pro earbuds inside the case and leave the case lid open.

  3. Find your Powerbeats Pro on the connection list and tap on it.
  4. Finally, follow the instructions to complete the pairing process.

If your Bluetooth enabled device is an iPad or iPhone with an H1 chip, it offers a more friendly pairing process. After Step 3 above, you just need to hold the device within 2 inches of the reach of the case. A message will prompt on your unlocked iPhone or iPad with on-screen instructions for the pairing process.

Having renewed the Bluetooth connection settings of your devices, you should expect to use your Powerbeats Pro with a consistent connection. Be sure also to check for any interference after the process, as mentioned in the previous method (Method 3).

5. Reset Your Powerbeats Pro.

The solution which we’ve found to be most helpful was to reset the Powerbeats Pro completely and then pair it again. This allowed the Powerbeats Pro to be set up just as you first got it out of the store. Resetting helps to clear any software glitches and bugs that may have occurred over time with the device as you’ve been using it.

You know how the saying goes, “if it works, it works.”

  1. Go ahead and open the Settings app of your Bluetooth enabled device, then tap on Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the (i) icon next to your Powerbeats Pro, tap Forget This Device, and then Confirm.

  2. Finally, pair the devices again. You can refer to the previous method starting from step 4 for the pairing process.

After you have reset and paired your Powerbeats Pro back to your device, test it once by playing a song out of your Spotify/Apple Music to see if the song can be heard. The state of your Powerbeats Pro will right now be similar to the first time you paired and use it.

If your Powerbeats Pro is running on an outdated version of the firmware, then it’s likely there may be bugs that are causing this error in connection. To make sure you have the updated bug fixes, you need to update the firmware of your Powerbeats Pro to the latest version.

Here’s how you can do it:

If you’re on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

  1. First and foremost, you will want to figure out which firmware your Powerbeats Pro is currently on. You can do this by going into your Settings app > General and then tap About.

  2. Unfortunately, there is no update notes page provided by Apple that discusses the latest firmware available for Powerbeats Pro. So you will need to google your firmware version manually and see if it is outdated.
  3. So how do you update the Powerbeats Pro firmware if it is outdated? Well, your Powerbeats Pro gets automatically updated along with your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch every time an iOS or iPadOS is released. Hence there is no way to force an update onto the Powerbeats Pro. To check for the latest iOS or iPadOS updates, simply go into your Settings > General > Software Update and then Download and Install any available update.
