CINCINNATI — This season is all about prime time for the Cincinnati Bengals. The AFC champs will have five prime-time games, the maximum allowed by the NFL. Two of those games will be at home: a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Miami Dolphins Sept. 29 and a Jan. 2 Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. For the first time ever, Cincinnati will open the season at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals will face the Browns in Cleveland on Halloween and play the Bucs on Christmas Eve in Tampa Bay. The Bengals will play the LA Rams this year — it just won't be during the season. Cincinnati will host the reigning Super Bowl champions and the Arizona Cardinals this preseason. They'll also play at the Giants. Dates and times have yet to be determined. Cincinnati's 2022-23 regular season schedule can be found below:
Asterisks denote the time may change. Each team plays home and away games against its three division opponents (for the Bengals, that's the Browns, Ravens and Steelers) as well as four teams from another division in its conference, four teams from a division in the other conference and three games against conference opponents based on the last season's standings. What to expect when the Bengals vs. Chiefs kick-off?This year, TE Travis Kelce saw a slight drop off from his top-tier production. However, the All-Pro TE will look to catch a touchdown in his sixth consecutive game in today’s Bengals vs. Chiefs game. He’s been the go-to target for Mahomes over the past few weeks after Tyreek Hill’s heel injury hampered the WR for a few games. Kelce also manufactured the final drive to send the Chiefs and Bills to overtime. While having Kelce at full throttle is dangerous, the Chiefs also saw Hill return to form against the Bills as he cashed in 11 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs even got the running game going with 120 combined yards from Mahomes and RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire. When this offense gets red hot, not many can keep up. NFL fans just saw the one team with the best shot, the Buffalo Bills, come up just short. The Bengals did not fare well this season defending TEs. They kept Kelce in check when these teams faced off in Week 17, but will they be able to slow his red-hot momentum? Holding Kansas City to 3 second-half points allowed Cincinnati to sneak back into their Week 17 win. It would be astounding to see that happen a second time in today’s Bengals vs. Chiefs game.
