The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Greetings to you I bring my dear friends in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer! Dear friends, as I take you to another article of mine for the day, the above topic says that “The word of God is likened to seven images found in the bible.” Let us take a look at what the word of God has to say to each one of us through His Word? Dear friends, as we take a look at the above title, the word of God is likened to seven images found in the bible. Let us take a look and go step by step and see the seven images that the word of God is likened to. First the Bible is referred to as The Double Edged Sword. It is written in Hebrews 4:12, ”For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Yes, my friends. The word of God is indeed like the Double Edged Sword. Because when we read and meditate the word of God, it penetrates by dividing the soul and spirit, joints and marrow. The word of God judges our thoughts and the attitudes of the heart. The word of God will convict each and everyone of us because it is a living and active word. So, if you are convicted of all your wrong doing do repent and thank God that His word has convicted you. Friends, second the word of God is likened to as Fire. It is written in the book of the Old Testament in the book of the prophet Jeremiah 23:29, “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD.” Yes, my friends, the word of God is like Fire. Does not the word of God burns within us when we read the word and meditate on it. Does not the word burn like fire when the servant of God brings the word to the people in the church. Does it not burn within you like fire when the word of God that is preached by the priest was meant for you, friends? Remember the word of God is meant for teaching, rebuking, correcting and to discipline the children of God.Dearly beloved friends, let us not take the word of God so lightly into our lives. It is the Living Word of God. It is the Truth. Do take the word of God seriously into your life. Have a Blessed Day. God Bless. Jasmine.C |
