What is the balanced net ionic equation of the reaction between lead ii nitrate and potassium sulfate?

Pb(NO3)2 + K2SO4 --> PbSO4 + 2 KNO3 If 0.87 moles of potassium sulfate react with an excess amount of lead(II) nitrate, how many moles of lead(II) sulfate would be formed?

I know I start with 0.87 moles K2SO4, but I am confused on the stoichiometry part to solve the problem.

  1. Here is a worked example that shows exactly how to do the conversion from mols of one material to mols of another.

  2. mm(zn)=65g/mol m(hcl)=36.5g/mol m(h2)=2g/mol

  3. From the equation, 1 mole of potassium sulfate reacts with lead(II) nitrate to form 1 mol of lead(II) sulfate. Implying that mole ratio of K2SO4:PbSO4=1:1 therefore, number of moles of PbSO4 that formed =1/1 x0.87= 0.87 moles

NB: The moles of K2SO4 that reacted with excess Pb(NO3)2 are the one that determined the number of moles of PbSO4 to be formed.

  1. When solutions of KCl and Pb(NO3)2 are mixed, a precipitate forms. Which of the following is the balanced equation for the double replacement reaction that occurs? a. KCl(aq) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq) ¨ KNO3 (aq) + PbCl2 (s) b. KNO3 (aq) + PbCl2 (s) ¨ KCl(aq)

  2. Write a molecular equation for the precipitation reaction that occurs (if any) when the following solutions are mixed. If no reaction occurs, write NOREACTION. Are my answers below correct? I used the textbook 1. sodium chloride and lead (II) acetate

  3. Aqueous solutions of copper (II) sulfate, CuSO4, and potassium carbonate, K2CO3, a blue parcipitate of copper (II) carbonate forms in addition to one other compound. We have to write the balanced chemical equation for that but our teacher didn't teach us

  4. how do i write a net ionic equation for Lead (II) Nitrate and Sodium Carbonate react to form Lead Carbonate and Sodium Nitrate??
