She has won $250,000 worth of prize money and becomes the first person in Big Brother history to be crowned the winner twice. “I cant believe it,” Reggie told host Sonia Kruger after being crowned the winner. “Thank you to everyone that voted for me - and I hope I did you all proud.” Reggie has won Big Brother 2022. Credit: SevenSpeaking with 7Entertainment about the potential of winning, Reggie said, “To win it twice in my history would be just amazing. “It’d be a dream come true. “And what better housemate to take it out twice. “Queen Reggie!” Reggie revealed her plans to spend the $250,000 prize money, explaining it is a “no brainer”. “It’s going to help try and put a roof over mine and the kids’ heads. “And just to have that feeling of stability would be awesome.” Big Brother's 'bombshell' leaves Reggie in tears.Looking back on her time in the Big Brother house, Reggie said her game had always been a social one, not a strategic one. “My strategy in here was to be myself,” she said. Back in 2005, Reggie was diagnosed with an eye disease that meant her vision is deteriorating and she now has just nine degrees of central vision left. “Being in the Big Brother house has been very hard for me. But even though I’m going blind, I’m here to prove to people that having a disability doesn’t stop you from achieving goals,” she said. The housemates celebrate in the garden. Reggie Bird won the show's third season in 2003. But in a cruel twist, Reggie was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa which meant she was declared legally blind. Her son, Lucas, also suffers from cystic fibrosis. “It’s mentally and physically draining on Lucas so I have to stay strong for him. It’s a constant battle to try to get weight on him so he has to drink supplements and have a diet high in calories and fat. I hope he will live past the 37 years of expected time,” she previously told Now to Love. For more engaging TV content, visit 7Life on Facebook.
