Who is the most beautiful member of izone

IZ*ONE had a fun time voting on their fellow members while appearing on OSEN’s “Star Road”!

The girl group recently returned with their new title track “Fiesta.” To celebrate their comeback, they held an “IZ*ONE Awards” ceremony and picked the members who fit most with each category.

When voting for the member who practices the most, the majority of IZ*ONE’s votes went to Kim Min Ju. The members shared, “Min Ju said she was going to practice after today’s filming, too.”

They went on to add, “She’s always passionate about practice. She practices during breaks and even when everyone else goes to get water. I’m worried something is going to happen to her because she works too hard.” Kim Min Ju commented, “It’s fascinating that the members voted for me. I’ll continue to practice hard and become a Min Ju who makes amazing things happen.”

IZ*ONE then picked Choi Ye Na as the funniest member. Jang Won Young remarked, “In my case, I have a recent anecdote [about Choi Ye Na]. After practice yesterday, our ride didn’t come, so Ye Na and I went out and rode our bikes. She kept acting like she knew the way, but she didn’t. Our dorm was 20 minutes away, but we wandered around for an hour. I kept asking to take a taxi, but she said all roads are connected. It was really funny.” Choi Ye Na joked, “I just wanted to spend more time with her.”

Jang Won Young won the title of the group’s “best eater.” The members explained, “Jang Won Young eats really happily. Sometimes, she’ll wrap up something in dried laver, and she eats really deliciously. Most of her conversations throughout the day are about food.” They went on to praise her reactions while eating and her creative ideas when it comes to food.

Jang Won Young responded, “One of the strengths and charms of our group is that we all eat well. I thought it was going to be a tough [competition], so I can’t believe I won first place. I will tell you a lot of delicious food combinations in the future. The secret to eating deliciously is to watch something while eating. It tastes better when you eat while watching fun variety shows, animations, or dramas. Food is delicious if you eat it a lot with passion.”

When asked to pick the member who looks the most beautiful recently, IZ*ONE chose Honda Hitomi. They praised her by saying, “She looks like a character from a manhwa [comic]. She’s like a princess. She takes very good care of herself. She’s very diligent. We respect her.”

In response, Honda Hitomi remarked, “I’m happy I got this award. I will continue to do my best to make myself look pretty.”

12. Chaeyeon

Chaeyeon’s visual charms really shine when she performs on stage.  She has a long and lean body that she knows how to use on stage.  Also, let’s talk about this girl’s smile and cheekbones!

11. Hitomi

Hitomi has an adorable appearance.  She reminds me of a baby doll with her short appearance and those cheeks.  I love how sweet she looks with her fresh bangs and eye-smile.

10. Yuri

Yuri has a puppy dog look that really reminds me of combination of Weki Meki’s Yoojung and WJSN’s Dawon.  She has big almond eyes and a bright smile.  Also, her voice is raspy and cool, which is surprising for such a cutie.

9. Yena

Another doll-like visual with the smallest face on the planet.  Her features (eyes, nose, lips) are proportionate to her face size too.  Despite being completely cute, she really knows how to bring it as the group’s main rapper.

8. Yujin

Yujin has such a bright personality, which matches her bright features.  Her eyes are super big like her gorgeous smile.  She gives me a lot of girl next door vibes.  Also, I do love her tan skin tone!

7. Hyewon

Hyewon looks like a princess.  There is something so elegant and pristine about her visual appearance that make her look so classic.  Also, this girl’s facial structure is fire.

6. Nako

Our little Nako!  She exudes innocence and brightness with those dimples .  I love her fresh and dewey appearance.  I literally want to put her in pocket and keep her.  150cm of pure sweetness.

5. Eunbi

Mama Eunbi is flames. She has those classic Korean visuals: snow white skin, long flowy her, and that thin nose.  Even though, she’s the oldest she exudes youthfulness on par with the younger members.

4. Sakura

Sakura’s eyes and her stares are what make her well-known in both K-Pop and J-Pop.  She’s incredibly versatile and able to pull off several different styles on stage.  She looks like a model and like the epitome of Japanese beauty standards .

3. Wonyoung

Okay, she’s fourteen years old.  I really wish that I looked that when I was that age.  Also, the thing is that she’ll grow into a beautiful woman too.  Like I can’t she’s nine years younger than me….  her face is going to remembered.

2. Chaewon

Chaewon has a face that really sticks out in K-Pop, or at least I think so.  She has full lips and big brown eyes.  There is something alluring and innocent about her that makes it hard to look away from her.  Honestly, she almost looks angelic.

12. Hyewon

I’m going to be real - Hyewon is a stiff dancer.  She has improved vastly from the beginning of Produce 48, but you can tell she still feels a bit awkward.  I think once she overcomes this awkwardness, she’ll become a more fluid dancer.

11. Sakura

In the dance world, we would call Sakura a really good faker.  She isn’t exactly stiff, but she isn’t fluid either.  In group performances, you can’t tell that she’s a little less fluid than the other members.  I think cohesion and stage adaptability are her greatest strengths.

10. Nako

For someone who didn’t receive training K-Pop style training, Nako is actually a solid dancer.  She makes choreography look natural and effortless, but I don’t know how versatile her genres would be.  I think with the right of amount of training, she can become much better too!

9. Minju

I think Minju is going to be a solid dancer, but she needs to build up some confidence.  She has the training, in different styles too, but needs to work on her stage presence.  Once she nails that, which has improved since the beginning of Produce 48, then she will soar!

8. Chaewon

Chaewon’s dance skills are kind of up in the air for me.  There’s nothing bad about her dancing, but nothing noteworthy either.  That being said, I do appreciate her clean moves.  She fits well in the styles we have seen her in, but I’d love to more of her dance training.

7. Yuri

Yuri’s strength is her precision.  She’s not exactly powerful, but she can pull off the moves in a clean way.  She can also fake several styles and has solid stage presence, especially when she’s belting out high notes.

6. Yujin

Yujin’s energy really stands out.  She looks like she’s genuinely enjoying her time on stage, but the other side of that, is that she only looks happy on stage.  Her facial expressions don’t change much, which is something so small.  Since she’s so young, she will definitely have time to improve on that too.

5. Wonyoung

Wonyoung makes for a great center.  She’s cute and peppy, but also has the most vibrant facial expressions.  These are key components for dancers!  The only thing is that she is a bit awkward when she moves into other genres, but I really hope Off The Record does not put her in sexy concepts because SHE’S SO YOUNG.  She fits the style of La Vie On Rose and really shouldn’t branch out yet until she’s older (let’s not get gross, K-Pop).

4. Hitomi

Hitomi is a solid dancer, who knows how to utilize smoothness.  I can’t really imagine her doing hardcore Hip-Hop, but that’s okay because she really does rock the cutesy girl group dances.  However, if she does ever do choreography like that, I’m excited for it!

3. Yena

Yena is a strong dancer, who could easily be the Main Dancer of Yuehua’s next girl group!  She is a versatile dancer, who knows how to utilize both fluidity and sharpness.  Additionally, she performs.  She has fun and plays around on stage, which are key factors in being an idol.  It’s not always about just doing the movements, but also dancing them!

2. Eunbi

Eunbi has several strengths as a dancer.  She can do elegant and soft, but also sharp and hard.  This was shown in the beginning of Produce 48 during Woolim’s company evaluation.  She has the sweetness of Lovelyz’s and the power of Infinite.  That’s commendable.

1. Chaeyeon

Real talk: Chaeyeon, even post IZ*One, is going to be one of the greatest K-Pop dancers out there.  She’s powerful, strong, and isn’t afraid to go there with the facial expressions.  She performs each stage like it’s her last, with no regrets.  And you can feel it!

With the rumors of MNET’s new survival idol show, Queendom, many are speculating its premise.  I personally have a strong love for idol shows and a big HATE for its editing system, but that’s another post.  In honor of this new show, I decided to highlight the winners of the previous girl group shows by creating their own fake group.  I’ve always liked creating k-pop groups and highlighting different strengths in each member, so indulge me.

Honestly both Sonamoo and UNI.T are sorely underrated groups.  Euijin won the center spot for the girl’s group of The Unit, and also became their main dancer.  She was also one of Hyuna’s favorite candidates, not only because she covered her song during the evaluations, but also for her charming and powerful moves.

Meiqi

Meiqi has become a household name in China as she won the title of Nation’s Center on Produce 101 China (2018).  Meiqi’s fierce dance moves and stable vocals won her massive adoration in both China and South Korea.  She even got her own solo song! Although I’m SUPER happy about her win, I can’t wait for the return of 13-membered WJSN!

Jisun

No one, not even the producers, expected Idol School to become as popular as it had during Fall 2017.  Jisun made herself known after her iconic Lovelyz’s Cover of Achoo, garnering her the nickname 99-Jisun after she snagged the most points during the first evaluation.  We also got to see her sweet and feminine personality throughout the show.  Fromis_9, and Jisun, continue to show off many different sides to their year-and-a-half idol career.

Nancy

From Finding Momoland’s (2016) conception, Nancy became the most well-known member.  She’s known for her delicate visuals and sweet disney-like voice.  Although MLD Ent. has really been reigning in JooE’s popularity and image, Nancy was considered the first center.  Not that I’m opposed to them sharing the spot – I think more groups should utilize multiple centers depending on their comeback concepts!

Somi

Who would’ve thought that the Produce Series would become such a hit.  Somi became the “Nation’s Center” after highlighting her multiple talents and 4D personality to the public.  Her intense determination after being eliminated on Sixteen touched the hearts of the K-Pop public.  Even after I.O.I’s disbandment, Somi continued to work hard in collaborations and CFs until her debut earlier this spring.  Congrats, Somi!

Ryujin

Although nothing came out of Mixnine - literally nada - the show did highlight a lot of young K-pop potential, including ITZY’s center, Ryujin.  Ryujin was adored by literally everyone, showing off incredible dance skills and girl crush rapping vibes. YG even offered her a spot to transfer into his company, but she declined, which was probably the best thing for her career.  ITZY is killing it, and with only a debut song!

Wonyoung

(You know it’s painful… I’ve officially become an unni and noona fan to these children… that hurts.)

Support these idols and their groups in 2019!

It’s only February, and we’re already getting some highly anticipated debut showcases.  So, forgive my tardiness, but here’s i my ranking of girl group debuts from 2018!  Better late than never…

This is based on my opinion.  Not hating.  So don’t hate on my non-hating. Thnx, Kids.

6. Nature’s Allegro Cantabile

Very cute and innocent and summery.  It worked well since they have some younger members, and you guys know I’m a big stickler for age-appropriateness.  (It’s a scary world out there, Kids.) To be honest, this genre just isn’t my taste.  However, I do think that this group has very talented members and would benefit from a concept change since they have some strong dancers.

5. Fromis_9′s To Heart

Although this may not be my favorite genre of K-pop, I think this debut did a great mixture of freshness, youthfulness, and preciousness.  I liked it a lot more than Glass Slipper too.  It was a solid debut.  Also, these are the prettiest school uniform outfits I’ve ever laid eyes on.

4.  Loona’s Hi High

I’ve been waiting for this debut.  My favorite part of this debut was their use of space and choreography for this debut.  it was bright and energetic without it feeling crowded or over-done, which could be easy for large girl groups.  This debut seemed like it’s own style too, in comparison to the sub-units.

3. GWSN’s Puzzle Moon

For a really small company with a short teasing period, this was a great debut!  The song was simple and clean; the visuals were fantastic; and the choreography was cute and captivating!  It left me wanting more from GWSN in the upcoming year.

2. IZ*One’s La Vie En Rose

I had to admit.. I was worried.  Produce 101′s debut with IOI was not my favorite, and the group has such a wide age gap that it could’ve been too awkward for Wonyoung or Eunbi to pull-off.  BUT somehow the perfect balance was found.  It was graceful, elegant, and suiting for a girl group debut of different calibers.  I know there was controversy, but we can’t change that.  I personally love LA Vie En Rose with IZ*One and congratulate them on such an awesome debut.

1. G-Idle’s Latata

This might be one of the strongest debuts in K-Pop history.  This is a song I still listen to, ten months later.  It showcases each member’s uniqueness and talents, optimal girl crush fashion, and sultry and sleek choreography.  Also, the visuals in this MV were gorgeous and dreamy.  This has made the standard for G-Idle high as hell.

Let’s support our girls in 2019!

With the release of their first album, it’s time to pay homage to Queens’ impressive tracks that don’t get the same attention as their comebacks. Blackpink is known for their girl crush image and continue to release bangerz that show off each member’s uniqueness. Let’s take a peek at some of their non-title tracks!

5. Kiss & Make Up (with Dua Lipa)

Their first feature with a Western artist was impeccable. It highlighted all the member’s different vocal tones and used Korean lyrics to show that they are first and foremost K-pop artists. Super catchy and still slaps.

4. Forever Young

Forever Young showed a new side to the group. It was fresher and had a brighter flare than their edgy comebacks prior. Forever Young showcased their youthful side, using that summer pop to capture their fans’ hearts all over again.

3. Bet You Wanna ft. Cardi B

One of their full English songs that synchronizes cute acoustics with confidence and flirtaciousness. The addition of Cardi was such a power move too, highlighting how sought after are in terms of collabs. The song leaves you wanting more, since it is barely 2 mins and 30 seconds, but hey, we take the album.

2. See U Later

See U Later hit different when it first came out. It was powerful, mean, and full of that bitch energy. The raps slap the hardest and reminds girls to choose themselves first.

1. Kick It

Kick It is honestly just a cool song. They keep us on our toes with the vibe switches. It has this anthem-vibe with the chorus and bridge, combined with slow verses that has us beggining for more.

7. Remi

Remi could’ve benefitted from more vocal training prior to her debut.  She has a nasally voice that works for higher pitched moments in their songs, but has difficulty maintaining stability while live.  She needs to work on her breath work for her lines.

6. May

May does not have many lines, but does carry her parts well.  Her projection is decent but she lacks range and stability.  I think this is why FNC producers spreads her lines out and limits it to short “killing” parts, because that’s what she can maintain the most.

5. Chaerin

Chaerin has the most interesting voice out of the vocal line.  “Hands Up” really showed the husk and depth to her voice that I would love to see more of in the future.  She has a nice color and tone but lacks power in comparison to the other girls

4. Jiwon

Jiwon makes so much sense as an idol.  Her voice is by no means amazing, but she is a stable vocalist with a nice squeaky color to her voice.  She can pull off a chorus or a rap, all while maintaining her stage presence and composure while performing.

3. Yuju

Yuju has an adaptable voice and uses her falsetto well.  She can add flare and spunk to it when rapping, but also softness and sweetness. One of her skills as an idol overall is her ability to meld into a concept well, while adding her own personality to it.  The Dolphin Cover really highlighted that.

2. Haeyoon

Haeyoon is an INCREDIBLE vocalist.  She really represented the best vocalist on Produce 48.  Her voice is powerful, stable, and so refreshing. Her strength is her ability to perform while not outshine her other members with her incredible pipes.  The Cherry Bullet vocal line really has strengths in so many areas.

1. Bora

Bora has one of the most unique voices in the New Era.  It’s squeaky clean without it coming off as pitchy or childish.  Her technique and projection are clear and stable. Her high notes are to die for and are done so effortlessly.  She is an incredible vocalist and deserves to be RECOGNIZED.

7. Bora

Bora has a look that gives off baby doll visuals.  She has a slight frame with a powerful voice. I particularly like her with the pink short hair, as it seems to frame her face and stature the best.

6. Haeyoon

Haeyoon photographs well.  She has a cheerful smile, bright skin, and big round eyes.  Someone should hire her for circle lens ads! I do think the blond washes her out a bit since she is on the paler side.

5. Remi

Remi reminds me of Soyu and Twice’s Sana.  She has stronger features than most of the members, most notably her high nose and her face shape.  Her skin pigmentation is very versatile too since she can pull off many hair colors.

4. Chaerin

Out of all the girls, Chaerin has the most mature looks to me.  I wouldn’t have suspected her to be one of the younger members.  She has tan skin, sharp cat eyes, and sleek hair.  Even with her glam looks, she still manages to have an adorable eye smile.

3. Yuju

Yuju reminds me of chameleon, not because she looks like a lizard, but she really does blend into concepts well.  She can fit into cute concepts and rock more hip hop concepts, yet through all of this, she manages to maintain a softer and kind of dreamy look.  Maybe it’s her sort of droopy eyes or it’s her small pouty mouth.

2. Jiwon

Jiwon is a classic Korean visual.  She has the small face, pale skin, and a sharp v-line.  She works well as a center since she has very alluring eyes too.  She reminds me a lot of WJSN’s Bona, with their picture-perfect beauty.

1. May

This makane is gorgeous.  She has a fresh girl’s next door appearance that really gives me budding model vibes.  She has rather thick eyebrows for a K-pop idol, but I think they add to her natural beauty!  She’s also growing right before our eyes, since she’s already 175cm!  A giant beautiful makane!

APRIL DANCE RANKING 2020

6. Chaekyung

Chaekyung isn’t a bad dancer and is actually in that normal range for idols who don’t specialize in dancing. She has decent rhythm and is stable throughout the choreography. My main issue with her technique is her lack of presence and energy – she seems on the stiffer side and could benefit from flexibility training.

5. Chaewon

Chaewon’s energy and brightness on stage masks average dancing skills. Being able to fake it and look cheerful on a stage is an important prerequiste for an idol. Chaewon looks like she can dance really well because she brightens up the stage with her mood. However, she is also a little stiff.

4. Naeun

Much like Chaewon, Naeun has really strong idol energy. She makes for a great center since she has that “it-girl” energy. Her facial expressions are on point, and she has good lines and body-awareness. She surprised me when she competed at ISAC last year with the hoop rhythmic gymnastics!

3. Jinsol

Jinsol is a solid dancer with good energy. One of her strongest points is that she is quite flexible, especially in her back. I mean, the youth can still do that. She also can fit multiple styles, which not all of the members can do so as easily.

2. Yena

Ah, Yena has the most potential for being a strong dancer. She picks up choreography easily and has good lines. Dancing also seems very easy for her. Now, the one thing that bothers me (and other k-pop idols at times) is that she looks bored when she dances, which probably isn’t the case. I notice this trait in other idols too, and I think it’s a training issue, not sure. She lacks energy and range in expression, but makes up for it in adaptability and stability.

1. Rachel

Rachel makes for the best dancer in the group. You can tell she had training as a child since she is professional and seems comfortable on the stage. Her consistency and stable energy throughout a performance makes her the best dancer in the group. She also has the technical pieces to dancing down packed!
