Well can be a crash course on dating. Some reviewers talk about positive message. True, it makes about 2% of the series. The rest is about how to package (and for parents how to raise) a girl to be a product attractive for boys. The rest is a shallow message to push this deeper message in disguise. The girls are just obsessed with boys and with getting their attentions. Parents are not present at all, and scarcely are teachers: portraying a society without any guidance and kids do whatever they think it is correct and of course they don't have any other learning responsibilities or even any sense of what their future should look like. Promotes an empty lifestyle with no future.

The first episode was mostly about football and how Bella didn't quit but all the other episodes were a little too much about dating and not enough about football. Each episode has a good message anyway. Bella's two best friends are Pepper and Sophie and they are very different. That helps make the show funny. I think if your kids want to watch this, they should.

I just wanted to say to the reviewers who wrote the reviews titled 'Response to Not Legit' and 'Actually Funny! Great Examples of Friendship and Feminism,' grow up! Everyone has their own opinions and you guys are pushing this show onto people like me who don't find this show to be their type to the point where it's more boring to watch than it already is. If I had to watch this show with my siblings and parents like one of these reviewers wrote, I would go crazy (as I bet the reviewer's children are too). And why wouldn't I when this show has a terrible plot and acting, forgettable characters, and a theme song that sounds like one of those kiddie songs that's a hit with 1st grade girls. Also, why does Bella (and the entire show itself for that matter) have to be overly girly?

I would love to hear Common Sense Media's opinion on the theme song for this show because to me it sounds like one of those kiddie songs that's a hit with 1st grade girls. I would also love to see the editors' picks for Nick/Disney sitcoms such as this one that play it safe with their content because some of the shows they've recommended such as this one and Good Luck Charlie, I found boring because I'm against Nick/Disney sitcoms that are overprotective with their content even as a Christian, and I actually like shows like Jessie and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn because they aren't like that. One last complaint I have is, as you can see here, the bug in which when someone posts a review using the "&" character, "amp;" follows even when you don't type it.

Nickelodeon's show, Bella and the Bulldogs, is the first Nick show in a long time to make me both laugh and think. As an artist/musician, I never liked watching anything related to sports, but this TV show actually captures my attention. For one thing, it stars a strong female football player. But that's only the tip of the iceberg for why I like it. It exhibits friendships between multiple genders and personality types, presents footballers as humans who are capable of emotions (rather than meatheads or obsessed with winning), and it focuses on feminist issues such as breaking through outdated rules and prejudices, and self acceptance. It shows southerners as being intelligent instead of reserving their accents for lesser characters. Best of all, Bella is neither forced to pretend to be a boy or hide her femininity (like in Mulan, which is still a fabulous movie), nor is she the butt of jokes showing how "wow she plays football like a girl." Oh yeah, and it's actually got funny dialogue in it. Everyone and their children should watch this show.

Oh god, just no. Everything on Nickelodeon nowadays is just bad. What happened to all the good shows and cartoons? I'd even approve of icarly, but sadly this show doesn't make the cut. They've even made a similar football jersey in the show, like the one my school uses. C'mon nickelodeon! Bring back the good stuff ! (Written by a 15 year old girl)

Although I was shocked by how blatantly sexist everyone was when faced with the concept of a girl on the football team, they got over it and Bella became the hero of the Bulldogs. Hopefully inspiring for girls and it's taking down gender roles one episode at a time, even though the female characters are still very stereotypical. But I don't know why I would expect anything different from Nickelodeon or Disney Channel.

Honestly, the show isn't really my favorite but I grew up watching things that were already very similar like Zoey 101 and Life With Boys, so much of this stuff I saw already. The jokes aren't really as funny to me a second time. As for any cussing people are "hearing." There is none. Nobody on this show has ever cussed, I watched each episode several times, I would notice if they cussed, they haven't. And, people say it is unrealistic, actually it's not. I was there when my sister joined her middle school football team. She faced the exact same problems Bella did when she first joined the team. People think girls are weak and should stick to stuff like Tennis, guess what girls face more pain than any boy out there when they go through child birth. However, it does present good examples for girls and boys in regards to inclusion, trying new things, proper behavior, not giving up, being yourself and loads of other important messages for kids. While the show may be over the heads of younger children because let's face it, this is a middle school football team (It says so all over the screen). Personally, I don't think younger kids will be as excited about it.
