Click "Edit This Badge" to the right of the badge.
Choose the layout by clicking "Vertical," "Horizontal" or "2 Columns." Previews of your badge appear to the right.
Choose whether you want the "Name," "Status," "Picture" or "Fans" to appear in the badge by clicking the check boxes next to the corresponding items.

Putting Facebook buttons on your website creates an extended social experience for your visitor because she can interact with Facebook while on your Web pages. When clicked, the button performs a specific task, often allowing the viewer to share your content with friends. Facebook helps you create the button you want and provides you with the code needed to insert it on your Web page.
Point your browser to the Facebook Developers social plug-in Web page to access the site that contains the buttons you put on your website.
Scroll through the list of plugins to choose the button you want to use. The Like button, for instance, lets a viewer share your page on his Facebook profile, while the Send button enables visitors to send your content through the Facebook message system. Click on the feature of your choice.
Use the menus that appear on the page to configure your button. For example, with the Send button, enter a page address in the "URL to Send" text field and use the drop-down menus to designate the font and color scheme of the button.
Click the "Get Code" button at the bottom of the menu and copy the code that displays.
Bring up your website page in a text editor program and position the cursor anywhere underneath the <body> tag and in the spot where you want the button to show up. Paste the button code and save the file.
