Reggie won based on a public vote, locked in on Tuesday night.
She has won $250,000 worth of prize money and becomes the first person in Big Brother history to be crowned the winner twice.
“I cant believe it,” Reggie told host Sonia Kruger after being crowned the winner.
“Thank you to everyone that voted for me - and I hope I did you all proud.”
Reggie has won Big Brother 2022. Credit: SevenSpeaking with 7Entertainment about the potential of winning, Reggie said, “To win it twice in my history would be just amazing.
“It’d be a dream come true.
“And what better housemate to take it out twice.
“Queen Reggie!”
Reggie revealed her plans to spend the $250,000 prize money, explaining it is a “no brainer”.
“It’s going to help try and put a roof over mine and the kids’ heads.
“And just to have that feeling of stability would be awesome.”
Big Brother's 'bombshell' leaves Reggie in tears.Looking back on her time in the Big Brother house, Reggie said her game had always been a social one, not a strategic one.
“My strategy in here was to be myself,” she said.
Back in 2005, Reggie was diagnosed with an eye disease that meant her vision is deteriorating and she now has just nine degrees of central vision left.
“Being in the Big Brother house has been very hard for me. But even though I’m going blind, I’m here to prove to people that having a disability doesn’t stop you from achieving goals,” she said.
The housemates celebrate in the garden. Credit: NIGEL WRIGHT/SevenShe added that Big Brother was in her blood.
“It totally changed my life,” she said of her original win.
“Still, 19 years down the track, people still come up to me and say g’day, they stop me in the supermarket.
“I have wanted to do this again for so many years.
“I have been underestimated all my life, but no-one should ever doubt my determination (to win).
“I want to show my kids that if you keep fighting the fight you can achieve anything.”
Big Brother final three selectedReggie has previously spoken candidly about what happened after she won Big Brother in 2003.
“The prize money didn’t last long!” Reggie previously told Punkee.
“I paid off the house in Tassie and unfortunately, my marriage broke down to [ex-partner] Adrian and I left it to him, I walked away.”
“My life changed heaps after the show.
“I went to Melbourne for three years and got a job as an air hostess with Virgin.
Reggie Bird won the show's third season in 2003. Credit: David Brown/AAP“(I) absolutely loved flying and looking after passengers.
“I then moved to the Gold Coast, remarried and had two beautiful kids,” she said.
But in a cruel twist, Reggie was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa which meant she was declared legally blind.
Her son, Lucas, also suffers from cystic fibrosis.
“It’s mentally and physically draining on Lucas so I have to stay strong for him. It’s a constant battle to try to get weight on him so he has to drink supplements and have a diet high in calories and fat. I hope he will live past the 37 years of expected time,” she previously told Now to Love.

Background
On October 12, 2021, Channel 7 released a promo dubbed "Back to the Future," revealing that past housemates from all seasons of Big Brother Australia would face of against twelve new housemates, set to air in 2022.
The House
Similar to Big Brother Australia VIP 2, this season was filmed at the White Pavilion in Sydney Olympic Park. The house included new secret rooms, such as the mainframe, the sewer, and the treehouse.
House Photos
The house was revealed on May 1, 2022. All of the rooms were given a new and revamped style, but ultimately had the same layout.
Twists
- BB Royalty vs. New Contenders: Iconic Big Brother Australia housemates from previous seasons returned back to the house and competed against twelve newcomer housemates.
- Revised Format: This season combined the Seven Network format with the original Network 10 and Nine Network versions of the game.
- Head of House: Each week, the housemates voted for one housemate to become the Head of House. The HOH was immune from eviction all week and had access to the HOH Suite along with two housemates of their choice. They were also granted a unique and strategic power throughout the week, with the ability to control the game and the nominations. A contestant cannot be the Head of House for two consecutive weeks.
- House Nominations: Once a week, the housemates nominated one person that they wanted to be nominated for eviction. The three housemates that received the most votes were nominated for eviction.
- Second Chance Challenges: The three nominees determined by the house nominations had to compete in a physical challenge in order to save themselves from eviction.

Task History
The first four housemates in the house, Dave, Estelle, Reggie, and Tim, were given a secret mission to hide from the eleven new housemates that enter the house.
